Updated: 12th August 2014.
As the days get longer and the sun gets higher, the next few months are good time to visit Murcia. With the prospect of playing Golf and hitting the Beaches, what are the best deals this summer?
The six Jack Nicklaus Courses of El Valle, Mar Menor, La Torre, Hacienda Riquelme, Saurines de la Torre and Alhama Signature (Condado) all have special offers available until the middle of September. Green Fees are only 45 euro before 3pm and there is a 4Ball with 2 Buggy's offer of 208 euro.
The current best deals at La Manga Club Golf Resort are the Late Booking deals*. 2 Players taking a Buggy can enjoy either the North or South Courses for 130 euro or 140 euro respectively from 12pm. A similiar offer is available on the West Course for 120 euro.
* These La Manga offers are only available if arranged within 7 days of arrival. Demand will be high so please book at the earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.
At Las Colinas Golf & Country Club just over the border in Alicante, the Green Fee rates start from 41 euro from 3pm until the end of August and the best of the earlier deals is the 2Ball Special with Buggy starting at 108 euro at selected times. Players opting for a special offer will also receive a FREE drink.
Roda Golf & Beach Club remains very popular and for many and is one of the first courses players will add to their itinerary. Ideal for groups with a mixed range of Handicaps and located close the Beaches. Roda Green Fees start from 35 euro after 1pm. Double up with La Serena if you're looking for 36 holes in one day.
La Serena Golf Resort is now almost as popular as ever. 2 Green Fee and a Buggy will cost just 82 euro and Green Fees are 32 euro after 2:30pm.
La Peraleja Golf has some Ground Under Repair on some Fairways but the current rates are very attractive. The best of the offers are 4GF's+2Buggy's for just 120 euro!
If you are looking for FREE Buggy’s then Altorreal Golf near Murcia city is a good choice. Buggy’s are free with all Green Fees for 2014. Combined with a trip into Murcia city and visit to the many square around the historic Cathedral, Altorreal is a good out. Green Fees are 45 euro.
Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort may have lost its status as the longest Golf Course in Spain but it still has the best practice facilities of all the Murcia Golf Resorts. Despite many players thinking this is a difficult venue to find, it is virtually a straight drive all the way from Los Alcazáres. Still don't believe us? From the coast, drive passed Mar Menor Golf Resort (purely as a point of reference!) and keep going straight. Follow this link from Los Alcazáres to the motorway exit for the resort to see what we mean. The best of the ofers are 4GF's+2Buggy's for 170 euro.
Further afield, there is Lorca Golf & Spa which has become a favourite with local expats living in the region. Lorca has impressed seasoned Golfers as the course is surprisingly technical and undulating, it is by no means a push over! The downside is the location which is further inland than most venues. However, Green Fees are 29 euro until the middle of September.
Further still is Aguilon Golf over the border in Almería. This unique course is a real challenge for any player and one of favourites. The journey is over an hour from San Javier for example but the rates make up for that. Green Fees start from 35 euro but Buggy’s are recommended and 2GF's+Buggy would set you back just 80 euro.
We'll be adding more details throughout the year but please remember to check the Murcia Green Fee Rates page for the very latest offers.
Whatever your plans for this Summer, be sure to take advantage of any last minute flight sales and enjoy a game of Golf with Club Murcia. The Murcia sun is worth the trip on its own!
