Description: The new Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is an interesting contrast to the other Nicklaus Golf Trail courses. Riquelme Best Golf’s playing surfaces are grassed with the latest Paspalum varieties, decreasing the need for large amounts of fresh water. All of these features combine to give Riquelme an older look and feel, establishing the Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort as one of the most unique stops along the Nicklaus Golf Trail. The boldly contoured greens are sure to be the most talked about feature of the course. Many of the greens are broken into several sections by strong elevation changes making it crucial for golfers to play to the correct section of the green in order to set up the easiest putt possible. The greens also feature numerous subtle random contours and rolls to further complicating putting.

The Riquelme golf course weaves its way through and around groves of olive trees, wildflower meadows, and large lakes. Facilities: There is a temporary Pro Shop (temporary building) and Driving Range. The Opening Hours are listed below, Monday to Sunday: ProShop - 09.00 to 19.00 La Encina Buffet Restaurant (La Torre)- 13.30 to 16.00 Driving Range - 09.30 to 18.30 The resort offers top class practice facilities, including a driving range and putting green. Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is ideally situated to access all the courses in the area. There is a free Polaris World bus service that runs between all of the Polaris World Golf Resorts. There is a golf academy in nearby La Torre with instructors available to teach golfers at all levels. The resort which has golf professionals on site to assist any newcomers or anyone wishing to brush up on their swing, also has a practice putting area and driving range which is open every day.
Course Information: Hacienda Riquelme Golf Course Reviews Riquelme Best Golf opens with this 403 meter par-four. The longer length of this opening hole is offset by the downhill tee shot, offering sweeping views of the Spanish countryside. The fairway is guarded on the left by a large deep bunker while numerous smaller bunkers lay in wait on the right side of the fairway. A large bunker protects the green, favouring an approach from the left side of the fairway. Like the other greens on the course, players will find this large green features numerous random contours and undulations. The green generally slopes to the left falling off into a large mown chipping area. All of this combines to create one of the more demanding opening holes on the Nicklaus Golf Trail.
